What hides inside a computer mouse? What quiet grinding mechanisms let a pepper mill work? This series disassembles everyday objects to reveal their inner workings – sometimes ingenious in their precision, sometimes disappointing in their lack of care. Each photograph becomes a portrait of our consumer society: objects built to last, or destined for a short and disposable life.
